Grandma's story.
Sleeping cycle's a lil messed up. during the beginning of the holidays, i was damn gung ho in my mission to sleep early every night and wake up early. early to bed, early to rise yo! my ass. nowadays i'm back to the nocturnal owl that i was, sleeping at 3-4 am, waking up at 12 plus. last two days when i was waking up early to prepare breakfast *points at post below*, it was even worse - i woke up early at about 9 plus, ate my breakfast, and then continued sleeping until lunch time. PIG alert T___T
oh speaking of which, breakfast was a success and failure! wth. success cos it's so yummy!, failure cos i didn't contribute anything to it WTH. sisters ended up preparing everything and i just arranged the cutleries *shifty eyes.
okay anyway! i think i should continue the langkawi post!
sooooo, the second day! damn eventful day wth. i'll come to that later. we had some buns for breakfast cos we didn't wanna eat so full cos we're goin island hopping! :D later our vomit become the fishes' food then die wtf.
first stop was Dayang Bunting! the pregnant maiden lake/isle?
heeeeeh sorry for stealing your pic, yun lu. about 13 of us in each boat!
damn cantik right!
everything just felt so surreal. it was barely two days after our exams ended, so i still felt like i had tonnes of studying left to do, notes waiting to be read, exam papers to be done.
but sometimes i just closed my eyes and took deeeeep breaths and told myself, 'ahh this is life' wtf.
our second stop, Beras Basah! after spending some time at Dayang Bunting, we watched eagles feeding, and then stopped by at this island.
some of the girls went for banana boat while the rest of us just chilledz wtf.
hurm i think we went back after that? but lemme tell you this first, speedboats are the shiznits la wth. dammnnnnnn nice to feel the hard bumps while the boat cruises over waves. i remember the first time i sat a speedboat in thailand, i felt like i was gonna have a heart attack there and then wth. oh and plus our er driver(?) did some drifting styles hahaahha damn nice okay having the waves spray over you!
we went back to the hotel rooms after that to shower and everything which we had to do asap cos our schedule was damn packed that day. in true Mayjee the Slowpoke style, i was the last one to emerge from the (bath)room, with wet uncombed hair no less, threw my towel onto my luggage, and jumped straight into the car.
so off we went to the er cable car place! some shit happened along the way tho :/ we were travelling in a convoy of 5 cars right, Josh' car, which was in front of ours, spun (if i'm not mistaken it's because the tyre punctured right?) and actually ended up in the opposite lane but thank god there weren't any cars coming that time, and thank god also that our car wasn't going too fast so Jo managed to brake in time.
dramamama. must have been traumatising for Josh wei :/
anyway, managed to get that fixed yay so we continued our way. finally reached the place and up we went! hahaha but damn cute, they drew grid boxes on the platform, so everyone has to line up orderly and quickly step into the cable car when your turn comes. phwoar but the cable car is kinda scary on the first time up.
if you look closely beneath that smile of mine, you can see me quivering wtf look at how tightly i'm grasping my camera! it issss kinda scary when it's your first time la wei! i was swearing in my mind to calm myself down haha when suddenly the capsule kinda like lurched and my first reaction was 'Oh fuck.' and thus, the OF (Oh F*ck) moment was born. now we have FIT moments too (F*ck It wth).

the view here was ohmahgawd breathtaking (pic does it no justice) where it felt so surreal again and i had to do the whole close eyes deep breath thing again wth. but Wygene just had to potong by saying 'eh kinda looks like broccoli hor' wth HAHAHHA.
Okay quite lah, wtf.
On the suspension bridge.
and then the next eventful incident happened - our infamous spontaneous jungle trekking. hahahaha so what was supposed to happen was this, this suspension bridge leads to the last platform, and after that we're supposed to backtrack to the platform where we came from, to take the cable car back down to ground.
what really happened was this - us taking another route from the last platform; the route for the jungle trek back to the first platform FOL. so all of us, in our flip flops and shorts and without lunch, went trekking through the jungle back to the first base hahahha. now that i think of it, it's quite funny ahahaha although that time all that came out from me was 'wtf is this T_T' :P
dahlah intially we didn't know where the trek would lead to. just simply prayed that it'll lead to somewhere. it didn't help that some of us started thinking 'die lah. tomorrow's headlines - Monash's pioneer Pharmacy students missing' hahahaha.
okay enough drama. we finally emerged at the platform :D
the tired us finally went to have dinner after that and played around at the beach for a while. went out to Kuah town after that for duty free shopping and then chilled with some KFC and Bailey's wth. oh wait wait! hema and i also got our presents from the gang, THANK YOU people :D

Why
the hell am i up now. i'm supposed to be waking up early tomor-, wait scratch that, today to *jeng jeng jeng* make American Breakfast! (yes i'm excited like that when it comes to food) (got mushroom soup, hotdogs, fried eggs, baked beans gosh i'm feeling hungry already let's fast forward time!)
i'm feeling damn pumped up to make food nowadays. considering the fact that i can't cook to save my life, this remains a barely attainable goal. but oh, i feel like baking! cakes, cupcakes, pies..
or this could just mean that i'm getting fat and craving unreasonably for food. dayum.

Part of Langkawi.
Man, can you believe it? It's been one week since I finished my finals! And exactly one week since I went to Langkawi T_____T This time last week, I was running around the house frantically, dumping stuffs into my luggage as I pack while ticking it off my to-bring list in my handphone. It took me about 2 hours to get everything done!Then Hema told us the next morning that she came back at 2 plus in the morning and took only half an hour to pack everything. *hangs head in shame
(Actually, i typed this yesterday, so technically, this time last week, i'm in langkawi already wtf.)
Soooo, time to blog about Langkawi. Last year, I did a day-by-day account. This year, I'm too lazy wth. And I don't have many pics this time around! Didn't take much cos tell me, don't you just tend to be very dependent on someone else's DSLR and end up not taking much pics with your own compact camera! So I'll steal some from Yun Lu's DSLR la yeah hehe thanks Lu!
In the bus on the way there! Everyone was pretty tired out cos we had to meet up at 6am at Monash, so most of us were either sleeping or just chilling. Sang karaoke and played some cards to pass time too.
Eh shit la, whenever i see this pic, i can't help but notice that i look like i'm biting the ear of whoever it is behind me. Damn disturbing!
I find this pic very amusing cos there was an almost similar pic from my Langkawi trip last year!
Hahahahhaha. Okay la so it's not very similar, but the malay dude in the pic (no, not Jun Jen wtf) looks quite alike right!

We didn't take any more pics after that haha. Lemme try to recall what we did. Oh okay, we reached the pier, paid up for stuffs like car rental and cable car tickets, got our cars, went to Malibest Resort, dumped our stuffs, went to check out the Cenang beach, ate dinner, got some booze and water, car broke down wth, switched cars with the rental owners, played drinking games in the guys' room, slept. wth. Our room - Jeng Nee, Hema, Yun Lu and I - trieddddd to wake up early to watch whatever there will be of the sunrise (we're on the west side of the island) but failed T_T
To be continued WTH. I'm getting reeeeally sleepy now cos I went jogging and played a few rounds of badminton today. So bye! I'll continue the Langkawi post later! :D

The Time Traveler's Wife
This was a book I picked up close to half a year ago but never got around to finishing it, not because it wasn't good but mostly because i didn't have the timeeee. So now that my break is here, the first thing I did was to continue reading it cos heck, even the movie's out! *sheepish. And i have to say, like what everyone else already did, that the book's gooooooooooooooood. Dunno about the movie cos i haven't watched it heh.
It makes you wonder if there really is such extraordinary love in this chaotic world where love places a mere second behind everything else. At least, that's how it seems like to me these days.
Mr. DeTamble says, "But you asked about Annette, not about me. She was kind, and she was a great artist; you don't often find that those go together. Annette made people happy; she was happy herself. She enjoyed life. I only saw her cry twice; once when I gave her that ring and the other time when she had Henry.:
Another pause. Finally I say, "You were very lucky."
He smiles, still shielding his face in his hands. "Well, we were and we weren't. One minute we had everything we could dream of, and the next minute she was in pieces on the expressway." Henry winces.

Back from the dead.
HELLOO!! i'm finally back! shit wei, this is like the longest hiatus ever, right? i bet there's no answer cos no one's reading this anyway wth. actually i don't know what it is that has been keeping me from updating, cos i definitely went online the past few months. my last entry was july 26th, that's like when Semester 2 just started. i don't think i was that busy that time. haha anyway, i've finished my finals! wth. yeah that's how long i was on a blogging hiatus *shifty eyes.
obviously lotsa stuffs happened during these 3 months or so but i can't remember much wth. long-term memory loss. okay let's start with the most recent then. just came back from langkawi with the Pharm-ers! :D i find it really funny that we went to almost all the same places as the S4 and i did last year, even at the same place (we were just walking along the Cenang stretch when i was telling Hema/Yun Lu/Jeng2 (i forgot who heh) that we ate at this particular restaurant. next thing we knew it, the others just stopped suddenly and pointed to said restaurant and said 'come let's eat here' wth), and even made the same mistake of turning to the same dead end! hehe iono, i'm just amused by it :D anyway pictures will be up when i upload them to flickr. meanwhile, check out fb :D
and then there was finals. it was.. terrible, to say the least. no, this is not one of my paranoid 'die la i'm gonna fail..' kinda thing, it's the real kind of 'i'm gonna fail' thing, i swear. but i've cried so much over it, don't wanna think about it anymore, so next!
then there was the thunderbirds US air force show. those who know me well would know that i'm an airplane fanatic right (albeit not a hardcore one cos i'm pretty much a noob at it) but the show was greaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat! ohmygosh i'm dying to go to LIMA la butmy sisters i'm broke :( pictures up when i upload them to flickr as well :D
and that brings me to... The Trip! :D Tentatively named so cos we're secretive like that :D The Trip involves four excited girls - my sisters, cousin and i - embarking on a new adventure. so stay tuned! wth
next, HuiminCece graduated! :D congratulations, and celebrations!~ more on this in another post :)
and then there's the infamous yumcha session with the CFC which we have been postponing since AUGUST until NOW. Oh God T___T we can only meet up during weekends cos Mich is in Cyberjaya, and somehow or rather everyone always has something cropping up during the weekend. aiyooo damn sad lah okay. epic phail.
studies wise, this semester we've been having continuations from the last semester's units cos all are pre-requisites of another. and we've been making creams (which i suck so badly at le sigh), capsules (which is DAMN FUN), powders, sachets and whatnots. why am i even talking about studies now? -_-
oh i forgot about my 18th birthday. hahaha. was in langkawi during my birthday. thank you people for all the wishes and presents :D
okay so ciao mao. before you forget,
this is a rough guide of how i look like. pardon the sleepy eyes and all. just got back from langkawi and my sisters showered me with their presents awww. thank you ceces!

only because.
So right, this is an attempt to liven up my blog cos i should keep the ball rolling once i start posting back right! which in my dictionary means posting up a few pictures hehhh.
i finished class early during one of the days and so mich, bren and i met up :) and it's self-explanatory lah as to what three girls would do when they meet up.
this picture is damn stupid la hahahaha. we were running out of poses so we decided to combine poses ahahah. oh the lone constituents of the combo are not shown tho zz.

but don't mess with us this is our angry face roar. or more like *pursed lips
but we're still pretty much harmless (:

how do you know when to put a stop to things? it could be something which is irritating you to no end, or it could be something as pure as hope. when do you tell yourself, 'okay kiddo. time to take a step back'. i never seem to know when, or rather how, to draw myself away from things or people i'm attached to, or those i don't want to be attached to.
clarification and timing make things worse; you know you should retreat, draw a line. but are things as simple as putting a barricade in between? how about the raw tangible feelings weaving in and out periodically, reminding you of matters you carelessly left, or chose to leave behind, in dark corners of the mind? they don't go unnoticed. they never do. i try to shush them away, like how i'm trying to bar the people responsible for it behind the barricade, but at the end of the road, you know that there's nothing more you want than to go over to the other side.

Congratulations, and celebrations!
Dayum. So semester 2 of uni has started. sem 1 sure flew past really quickly, didn't it? :/ i typed out a post on the last day of break but my laptop decided to throw tantrums at me and so it hung. wth. needless to say, i wasn't gonna type out a long ass post all over again when i'm angry.
so anyway. the timetable for this week is suuuper nice - we finish at 1 and have like only 2 hours of lectures every day :D plus, we didn't have classes today wheeeee. which brings me to today's post! cos i didn't have class today, so i managed to go to my cousin's grad ceremony as a steward in MAS :)
mannnn, i'm so proud of him :) i know he's been through a lot to come to this stage in life, so.. yeah i feel so proud of him :D because we live so near to each other, us cousins are rather close these few years now that we've ahem matured and grown older haha. and that's why i'm also rather sad that we won't be seeing him much now that he's started flying! but nahh, anyhoo, i'm sure we'll remain just as close-knitted as before and the genuine happiness i feel for him and his family far outweighs the sadness :)

To my primary school mate.
So yesterday i finally met up with Zufar, my primary school mate, who brought along his friend Shanggar (hi Shanggar! if you ever read this :) ), after 10 whole long years o.O
Okay so maybe it's not exactly 10 years since we just left primary school 7 years ago. but we were in the same class in Standard 2 and i don't remember seeing him much anymore after that in primary school ahahah so yeap, about 10 years. funny how we're only meeting up now, after all these years, when he's leaving for melbourne today. champion, eh? :D
So here's to wishing you have a great time in melb, joofar :)
